The series of Reinhardsbrunn Symposia gives the opportunity to share recent results with interested scientists in the field of fungicide research. The presentation of new antifungal compounds, their characteristics and the mode of action, this years symposium gave an inside look on trends in fungicide screening and the introduction of molecular biology and genomics into the search for new leading structures.
Additionally the recent status of the use of natural antifungal compounds derived from plants as well as microorganism was presented. Aspects of induced resistance provided new measures to improve plant health. New results of fungicide resistance and resistance management completed the range of topics.
