Résumé

Application and detection of new systemic fungicides have made further progress in the past years. Simultaneously, new problems and borderlines have emerged and demand a more detailed investigation on biological and physiological properties of modern antifungal compounds or alternative strategies. The resulting new theoretical insights are a valuable basis for practical application, as well as for chemical development of new and better compounds.
With the exploration of new antifungal compounds with specific mechanisms of action, a joint interest of agriculture, chemistry and medicine in fundamental research has evolved. Moreover, there is an increasing interest in host parasite interaction and the influence of external factors on it.
