Très dur puisque le thème principal en est la pédophilie, même si l'auteur nous évite des détails trop précis. Tout est noir ou presque puisque trois histoires sur le même thème se superposent. Ray Lennox est un personnage intéressant et son travail sur lui-même l'est tout autant, seulement je ne peux pas supporter de me mettre dans la tête d'un homme qui se pose des questions sur la manière dont il perçoit une jeune fille de dix ans qui joue à la femme. Cette fillette m'a profondément dérangée parce qu'elle ne représente pas du tout l'innocence qu'on associe aux enfants et là encore, c'est une approche nouvelle du sujet que je peux comprendre. Mais je ne peux pas lire ça sans une gêne profonde et j'avoue que j'ai sauté des passages. Peut-être qu'un homme serait moins gêné, je ne le sais pas et je serais curieuse d'avoir une réponse à cette question.
