Biographie de Robert Louis Stevenson
Robert Louis Stevenson was born in 1850 in Edinburgh, and studied law before turning to the writing life. Early books of travel, tales and essays were followed in 1886 by Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, and by the Scottish romances Kidnapped and Catriona. A ceaseless traveller, plagued by ill health, he settled on Samoa for the last years of his life, and died there in 1894.
