Marne is a plus-size cosplayer in her late twenties hoping to finally embrace her curves at a pop culture convention with her best friends. When she finds herself surrounded by thinner girls she deems more beautiful than her, she allows her insecurites to take the wheel and resigns to a weekend spent wallowing in self-pity. But an unexpected encounter with a stranger results in a shift in the way she sees her friend, Jack, and suddenly, nothing about the way she starts feeling for him is very friendly at all.
Is there something deeper to the kindness Jack has always shown her? Marne doesn't think so. After all, Jack historically dates skinny girls. He thinks of Marne like a sister. There isn't anything there between them--but could there be?
