Street names are seen as repositories of collective representations from different historical periods. By using the interdisciplinary approach of the cultural history, as meeting point for history, anthropology, geography, linguistics, and literary history, it is possible to collect echoes from long-forgotten times, and to link the current urban structure of Bucharest with the old shape of the city.
