Résumé

Life in the resort business...can be a beach. Meet Zara Flynn, an ambitious young architect with a top-notch education and first-class looks, the daughter of construction megacorporation owner Tristan Flynn and his Spanish-born wife. When Tristan is killed in a job site disaster, Zara must take over the reins of Flynn Enterprises and the problem of El Mirador, a burned-out, abandoned luxury hotel on the Costa del Sol that Flynn has bequeathed to his stunning and savvy daughter.
Romance and intrigue are the farthest things from Zara's mind, but she receives a bulldozer-load of both when other parties scheme to divest her of her inheritance and a gorgeous but eccentric Latin pop star tries to seduce her. Thrown together with handsome and witty engineer David Parker, she determines to discover the secrets of El Mirador as well as the circumstances of Tristan's death. As they get closer to the answers, Dave and Zara get closer to each other until their attraction ignites a romantic passion that has no shut-off valve.
Zara Flynn inherits more than she contracted for beneath the steel beams and concrete of El Mirador, and faces both a personal and environmental dilemma.

À propos de l'auteur

Biographie de Jean Maxwell

Jean Maxwell was born in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada at the tail-end of the baby boomer era, which she says makes her a "late-boomer". It's a lot like her writing, which she didn't start until many decades later. But Jean was always an artist at heart, having practically come out of the womb with pencil in hand and blessed with (as the fictional John Hammond put it) a 'deplorable excess' of creativity.
A graphic designer as well as a musician, the muses clearly have had their way with her and aren't done yet. To date, she has 5 published novels to her credit and more than a dozen ghostwritten works. To keep a pulse on the public's literary tastes, she also reviews books for a popular romance review website. She still resides in her home town and enjoys things 'the Canadian way', which means having the outdoors as a best friend, apologizing for no real reason, bemoaning an overtaxed and over-governed society but remaining blissfully unconcerned about politics, religion or gender issues.
We think it's the weed.... :)
