À propos des auteurs

Author Antoine Maurel was born in Paris in 1981. He studied literature in school before turning to journalism and marketing upon graduation. Drawn to fiction writing from a young age, Maurel broke into the comics world in 2007 with "Noirhomme" (Casterman), illustrated by Hamo, a series which continued through 2010. A few years later, he was given the chance to go to work on the children's fantasy adventure series "Golam" (Le Lombard, Europe Comics in English), alongside scriptwriter Sylvain Dos Santos and illustrator Nicolas Sauge. Sylvain Dos Santos is an author and producer born in Arcachon in 1979.
He started his career in advertising as a copywriter, but he soon decided to dedicate his working life to his passion and become a children's TV scriptwriter. Going with the idea that if you want something done, you should just do it yourself, he founded I Can Fly, his very own production business assigned to getting his projects from page to screen. He had his first success in 2010 with "Baskup, " a basketball series produced with Disney XD and sold in over 40 countries.
In the years that followed, he piloted at I Can Fly the season 2 of "Baskup" and also developed several other projects, one of which was "Turboten, " a comic book produced in collaboration with Jo Tsonga. It was around this time that the "Golam" project came into being, with publisher Le Lombard (Europe Comics in English). In 2014 Sylvain signed for a new cartoon series with TF1, "Marblegen, " with Monello Production.
He also established the kids rugby license "Ovalon, " which later evolved into comic book format with Le Lombard. The year 2015 was another busy one for his projects as not only were "Golam" and "Ovalon" released with Le Lombard, but Sylvain took on the scripting for a manga project with Kana, as well as developing a new cartoon project with Disney. Previously going by the pseudonym Alcino Segusa, Nicolas is a French artist hailing from Dijon.
In 2000 he started his working life in Paris in several domains, from illustration to animation and advertising. Gradually, his experience taught him that his job wasn't "just" about drawing, but also stories, errors and encounters. It's not all that easy getting your break when you're into comics, manga, cartoons and Franco-Belgian comics. Luckily for Nicolas, one day he met someone who decided to believe in him, when in 2011 Indeez publishing fell under his spell, and with them he created the mini-series "Samourawaii Legends: Neron." Unfortunately, due to hard times for the publishing house, he wasn't able to complete the series.
So he started a whole new project with Josselin Azorin-Lara and Sylvain Dos Santos working on the script, with publisher Le Lombard. This new children's series, "Golam" (Europe Comics in English) narrates the adventures of a young pickpocket who, quite by accident, finds himself taking the infamous entrance exam for an alchemy school.
