Biographie de Jenelle Porter

Sarah Lehrer-Graiwer is an art writer, curator, and educator in Los Angeles. She is the author of Lee Lozano : Dropout Piece, Joint Dialogue : Lozano, Graham, Kaltenbach, and Can't Reach Me There. She also writes for Artforum, Art in America, BOMB, CURA, Interview, and Mousse, among others, and is the editor of Pep Talk, a publication series begun in 2009, which has produced monographic issues on artists and writers.
Lehrer-Graiwer has taught at Otis College of Art and Design and the University of Southern Califomia, and currently teaches for the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Jenelle Porter is a curator and writer. From 2011-15 she was Senior Curator at the Institute of Contemporary Art/Boston where she organized Fiber : Sculpture 1960 - present, and several monographic exhibitions. Most recently she organized Less Is a Bore : Maximalist Art & Design for the ICA/Boston.
From 2005-10, Porter was curator at the Institute of Contemporary Art, Philadelphia. She has held curatorial positions at Artists Space, New York, Walker Art Center, Minneapolis, and Whitney Museum of American Art, New York. Porter has authored numerous books and essays on art and artists. Philippe Vergne is the Director of the Serralves Museum in Porto, Portugal. From 2014-18 he was Director of The Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles.
Prior to his appointment at MOCA, Vergne led the Dia Art Foundation ; was Deputy Director and Chief Curator at the Walter Art Center in Minneapolis, where he worked for over a decade organizing more than 25 international exhibitions ; and was Director of the Musée d'art Contemporain in Marseille, France. Hamza Walker is the Director of LAXART, an independent nonprofit art space in Los Angeles. From 1994-2016, he was the Director of Education and Associate Curator at the Renaissance Society at the University of Chicago, a non-collecting museum devoted to contemporary art.
In 2017 he co-curated (with Catherine Taft) Reconstitution, a group exhibition mounted at LAXART. In 2016 he co-curated (with Aram Moshayedi) Made in L.A. at the Hammer Museum, Los Angeles.
