September 2030: The renders invaded Earth. In less than two years, humanity was decimated. Small pockets of resistance held out, but soon they were destroyed or scattered. The year is now 2049. Jacklynn Ross and her 18-year-old nephew, Isaac, are surviving in the Nebraskan wilderness with only each other to rely on. They dodge threats left and right while struggling to find a haven.
