Résumé

Jasper Maskelyne is one of Britain's forgotten heroes. The heir to his family's illustrious heritage, e was famous throughout the world in the 1930s as a brilliant stage magician. When the war broke out he volunteered his talents, determined to bring the secrets of illusion to the battlefield. Maskelyne was sent to Egypt where he staged one of the greatest magic shows in history, moving Alexandria harbour, launching a fleet of dummy battleships and making a fully equipped army appear out of the desert sands. But it was at El Alamein where he created his greatest illusion, completely deceiving Rommel and playing a key role in the great victory in the western desert.
