Biographie de Frances Hodgson Burnett

Frances Hodgson Burnett, born in England in 1849, lived in America after 1865. She married Swan Burnett, had two sons and earned the family living through her writing. Her personal life was unhappy, but she had many friends on both sides of the Atlantic. Although best-known for her children's books, her adult novels gained a wide readership ; these included The Making of a Marchioness (1901) and The Shuttle (1907).
She died in 1924.
