Lorna Parkes (Central District, the Peak & Northwest Hong Kong Island) : Londoner by birth, Melburnian by palate and former Lonely Planet staffer in both cities, Lorna has contributed to numerous Lonely Planet books and magazines. She's discovered she writes best on planes, and is most content when researching food and booze. Wineries and the tropics (not at the same time ! ) are her go-to happy places, but Yorkshire will always be special to her.

Thomas O'Malley (Wan Chai & Northeast Hong Kong Island, Kowloon, Shenzhen) : A British writer based in Beijing, Tom is a world-leading connoisseur of cheap eats, dive bars, dark alleyways and hangovers.
He has contributed travel stories to everywhere from the BBC to Playboy, and reviews hotels for the Telegraph. Under another guise, he is a comedy scriptwriter. Follow him by walking behind at a distance.
