The Sunshine Silver Mine in Wallace, Idaho was a hard rock mine that should never have burned. But it did, in 1972, and ninety-one miners died. The cause of the fire was never fully determined. Now, nearly half a century later, a political race, mysterious artifacts, and a murder reopen those old wounds for the citizens of Wallace.
