When Mara's vampire half-brother Vin resurfaces in the haunted streets of San Diego, he steps into a world teetering on the edge of paranormal pandemonium. But the life hanging in the balance isn't just any life-it's the one Vin would sacrifice everything to protect. As the night unfolds, Vin will confront malevolent demons and vengeful angels, testing his skills and survival instincts to the limit.

This story takes place after Somebody Tell Aunt Tillie We're Canning Demons. (Note: This was originally written as a short story for an anthology. It's come a long way since then. Warning: This is a vampire story, so it does have language, blood and a little bit of sex.)
