The times are changing for the inhabitants of the world's largest island of Greenland. Percy is an eleven year old polar bear; who is noticing that the world for him, is becoming different. The search for food, as Percy openly tells you, becomes more and more difficult with each passing year. The world is changing and Percy is trying to make sense of it.
The story introduces you to the world's largest island of Greenland. Through Percy's point of view you get to marvel at this piece of the world, whilst reflecting upon the changes to the climate that are affecting life in this marvelous place. When Anniita the Arctic Fox follows behind Percy in his search for food, it allows the introduction of the biological concept of commensalism - where one species obtains food or other benefits from the other without either harming or benefiting the latter.
This helps to achieve a balance between an engaging story; centered around a search for food and recognizing and adapting to change, whilst incorporating true facts about the habitat and the creatures that live there.
