On arrival in Bali, she is arrested for attempting to smuggle drugs into a country where the penalty for the crime is the death sentence.
Proclaiming her innocence, she trusts a man who says he can save her and finds herself kidnapped and imprisoned. When Coban discovers that his friend Holder's daughter, Hailey has disappeared, he follows her to Bali in the hopes that he can find her trail and ultimately save her or at least discover what happened to her. Coban is initially assisted by an ex-colleague who lives in Bali but soon finds himself running the investigation on his own. As he nears the truth about what happened to Hailey, the stakes rise quickly as does the danger that Conan soon finds himself in. Ambushed and thrown in the sea for the sharks to devour, it seems there is little hope that Coban will survive to find Hailey and bring her kidnappers to justice, much less find the person responsible for orchestrating her initial arrest in Bali.
Little does he or Hailey know that the real culprit is a long way from Bali, waiting for the confirmation that neither of them will ever leave Bali. Unless Coban can survive, the truth will be hidden and Hailey lost forever.
