The search is still on for Richard Hampton who seemed to have vanished without a trace. Amateur detective, Knox Lambert and his pal, Nick Farley are still trying to put the pieces of the puzzle together to solve the mysterious murder case. Knox is also a wealthy bachelor and he is a man that likes adventure and likes to experience life. He has enough wealth, money from an inheritance, to dabble in any profession he likes and he enjoys playing the roll of the investigator even though he's inexperienced.
Between playing billiards and drinking iced tea on a hot summer day, Knox and Nick continue to theorize the murder situation to figure out who shot and killed James and why and find the brother that is still missing.
