À propos de l'auteur

Biographie de Herbert K. Perlich

Herbert was nearly 85 when he finally completed this book, Millions Have Died, as well as a second book, Exit Bohemia, that continues the story of his life. Ten years in the making, the unusual personal history, Millions Have Died, traces his earliest moments as a spermatological wink in his first ancestor's eye. This is a chronicle of events that started in prehistoric time. Yet it is rooted in the same region as where he was actually born, around East European Bohemia, once Czechoslovakia.
The story proceeds through hundreds of years, recalling the evolution of language and customs, particularly those developed by his own kin. At times the book touches on modern tragedy and injustice, on the same soil. Who can say what is fact and what is fiction.
