The dead follow Claire around like she's their pied piper. The first ghost she ever saw was her mother, though she didn't know it at the time. Then her grandmother, whose ghost practically raised her and kept all the other ghostly populace away because they scared her, pops in to tell her that she will meet a handsome stranger that will change her life. Claire can't help hoping that the stranger is the handsome man she'd bumped into.
