Résumé

It's the 1990s. Jemima Hunter is the rising heir apparent of Brent family land and responsibilities. Glaringly apparent is her direct conflict with her aunt's plans for development that continue beyond Dorothy Brent's death. It's up to Jem to carry the family forward while surviving as a lesbian in central Virginia, home of one-man-one-woman legislation instigated by Dorothy Brent.
