The boy returns often, bringing gifts to thank the old man.   The old man heals others at the house.   The old man and boy become friends. A crisis enters the boy's life and he needs help from the old man. If the old man helps, he will lose his powers and must leave, never be seen again.   The friendship will end. The boy has asked too much.    The old man offers too little. Without the old man's help, a loved one will die.
