Tony Apodaca is Director of Graphics R&D at Pixar Animation Studios, co-creator of the RenderMan Specification, and lead engineer of the PhotoRealistic RenderMan. His film credits include Tin Toy, Knick-knock, Toy Story, and A Bugs Life. In 1993, Tony and five other engineers received a Scientific and Technical Academy Award from the Academy of
Motion Picture Arts and Sciences for work on PhotoRealistic RenderMan.
Larry Gritz works in the Graphics R&D group at Pixar, where since 1995 he has been one of the senior engineers of Pixar's rendering technology. His film credits include Toy Story, Geri's Game, A
Bug's Life, and Toy Story 2. Before joining Pixar, Larry wrote the Blue Moon Rendering Tools (BMRT), the second most widely used RenderMan implementation.
