Eric Meyer is a journalist, lecturer and author. He has lived in Beijing since 1987 and works for French media organizations. His books on China include Sois riche et tais-toi (Robert Laffont), Bon chat chinois prend la souris (Seuil), and Tibet, dernier cri (L'Aube). He manages the team of writers for the Louis Vuitton Beijing City Guide. Her curiosity and enthusiasm undiminished, Brigitte Deschamps has been exploring Beijing for almost thirty years.
As a witness to the city's transformation over the decades, she has managed the Beijing City Guides since their first publication. Catherine Talec has lived in China since 2010, working in the world of high jewellery and fashion in Hong Kong, Shanghai and Beijing, where she has been able to follow the characteristic features and evolution of Chinese consumer attitudes. Zora Belmejdoub Gérault helps to train talented young designers.
As director at ESMOD fashion school, she contributes to the emergence of Chinese fashion. Bénédicte Bro began her career in Paris, then spent fifteen years in fashion in New York and alter that worked in London for London Fashion Week. She is now based in Beijing as a fashion consultant and reports trends in her fashion blog. Nelly Alix studied Chinese and international relations at the National lnstitute of Oriental Languages and Civilizations in Paris.
A translator living in Beijing since 2009, she co-founded the independent walking-tours group, Beijing by Heart, with Lucile Constant in 2013. Lucile Constant has lived in Beijing store 2011. Alter working for a Chinese public media organization and the Chine Plus magazine website, she co-founded the independent walking-tours group, Beijing by Heart, with Nelly Alix in 2013. With a degree in French and Chinese management, Jeanne Gloanec has lived in Beijing since 2011.
A researcher for a social media company, she keeps her finger on the pulse of Chinese society. Polish citizen and Sinologist Kasia Harrold is a historian and intercultural relations consultant and has been in China since 1986. She is currently working on a book on the lesser-known history of Beijing. A freelance journalist and broadcasting producer based in Beijing silice 2005, Nicolas Sridi has experienced the amazing changes of the Chinese capital, without losing sight of what makes the city so attractive.
Living in China sine 2006, Jérémie Thircuir is the founder of Editions Thircuir, specializing in contemporary Chinese art and culture. Founded in 1991, Tendance floue is a group of thirteen photographers who have created a collective with the aim of working together to open up new perspectives and diversify the ways that contemporary photography can represent the world. In addition to their personal work, these photographers nurture their collective photographic research by comparing images, assemblages and combinations, giving rise to completely new material.
Beijing is brought into focus by Tendance floue photographes Meyer. Often inspired by a moment of theatrical transcendence, Meyer's photographs are above all concerned with encounters between people. Balanced between fantasy and reality, his singular vision invites the viewer to see the world in a new light. Meyer's perspective and use of form tend his work a hint of transgression alongside a sense of commitment that is both powerful and innovative.
