A billion-dollar casino resort hangs in the balance but it isn't the only high-money stakes in the small Hokkaido town of Kabashiro. Something is stirring in the abode of the Indigenous Ainu people and turning the once-sleepy enclave into a hotbed of political intrigue, greed, and chaos. One young Ainu must dig deep into his roots while another has to redeem his very soul if their people are to overturn the odds against them from pawns to masters of their own destiny.
