John Burns has made his mark on the political scene...so much so that he is being groomed for mayor. Things could not be better. His wife is beautiful and doting, his young daughter adores him. He has managed to keep the secrets of his past just that...a secret that only he knows about...until his convict brother escapes from prison...he kidnaps his wife and daughter... John is then forced to confront the dark echoes of his past in order to safe his family and career.
