Rebecca is six and a half years old, and her parents have separated. For a bit of fresh air, she's spending her vacation in the countryside at Grandpa Bug's. It's a bit boring there, without much to do, though even Rebecca has to admit the outdoors are doing her some good. But why has her friend Ernest disappeared? Is he hiding? Luckily, Grandpa Bug's there in the meantime to take long walks and teach Rebecca about nature! He seems to know a lot of stuff that's good for her...

À propos des auteurs

Born in France in 1976, Guillaume Bianco studied the plastic arts and Eastern languages before traveling to Taiwan. Back in France, he met Didier Tarquin and joined the atelier Gotfferdom. He created "Will" and contributed to "Les Krashmonsters" in Lanfeust Mag, but his real breakthrough was "Billy Brouillard" (Soleil). In 2009, the Sao Paulo comics festival gave him the award for best illustrator in the humor genre, which he followed up with the award for best French-language comic at Angouleme in 2010.
It was also at Angouleme that he received the School Prize in 2013 for his series "Ernest & Rebecca" (Le Lombard; Papercutz/Europe Comics in English), alongside Italian artist Antonello Dalena. Antonello Dalena got his start by illustrating short stories for Disney ("Mickey, " "Donald Duck"). He also drew character designs for the cartoon production company Artoonic. Then he became a student of Alessandro Barbucci, illustrator of "SkyDoll" (Soleil), and discovered the Franco-Belgian "bande dessinée." Impressed by his abilities, Barbucci entrusted him with two volumes of "Monster Allergy" (Tunué; Insight/Europe Comics in English).
Dalena then illustrated the first volume of "Lys" (Soleil). Eventually, alongside Guillaume Bianco, he illustrated his first entire series, "Ernest & Rebecca" (Le Lombard; Papercutz/Europe Comics in English), which won an award at Angouleme in 2013. He alternated the illustration of "Ernest & Rebecca" with the series "Sybil, la fée cartable" (Le Lombard), written by Michel Rodrigue. A young prodigy of the Italian school, Dalena is an artist who doesn't impose on himself any specific stylistic identity, in order to find his own graphic personality between manga and animation.
His most recent work is "Hercule, agent intergalactique" (Le Lombard; "Hercules Intergalactic Agent, " Europe Comics, 2019).
