John McNair is a junior writer of clickbait articles for Spotlight, a respectable print magazine with an awful website. Still, clickbaits bring in ad revenue and John is good at his job...though what he really wants to do is edit the print magazine, or at least write serious articles. Mitchell Turner is one of those modern rockstars who came up through the poppy boyband circus. He's got everyone's attention, a busy schedule, and....a very deep closet.
He's in the spotlight, whether he wants to or not. When John discovers Mitchell's secret, he realises it could be his big break - if only John could get close to him and write the feature piece of his dreams, he's sure to be promoted...if only he can stay out of love long enough to get it printed.
