Fateh Singh Rathore has spent nearly forty years working with Ranthambhore tigers and the wildlife of
Rajasthan. He was Field Director of the reserve during 1979 - 87. Today, he is Vice-President of Tiger
Watch, an NGO working to strengthen the protection of Ranthambhore National Park. Valmik Thapar has spent twenty-five years working with tigers, and is chairman of the Cat Specialist Group of IUCN for South Asia and a member of several committees relating to the Ministry of Environment and
Forest. He is the founder of the Ranthambhore Foundation, which works to save the tiger in India. He has presented the BBC film series 'Land of the Tiger'.
