Résumé

"This was by far the best math book I've ever had." "I really like the Life Lessons. They elucidate the problem-solving process and provide a model for thinking that even hardened math-haters would find useful in other disciplines." "The book encourages the reader to actively participate with the text." "It is possibly the only textbook that I've ever enjoyed." "I would often go over sections with my friends outside this math class, and we would sometimes do the hands-on applications together." "One of the best math books, but mediocre as literature when compared to Dickens, Tolkien..." (Authors' response: We'll try to improve in the next edition).
