Biographie de Joseph Connolly
Joseph Connolly worked briefly in publishing, and for many years ran the Flask Bookshop in Hampstead, London. He is the author of several works of non-fiction, including admired biographies of Jerome K. Jerome and P.G. Wodehouse, as well as the standard work on book collecting, Modern First Editions. He has written for the Daily Telegraph, Punch, The Bookseller, Evening Standard, Spectator, Independent and The Times, to which he is a regular contributor. He has written three novels: Poor Souls (1995), This Is It (1996), which has been adapted by Joseph Connolly for Granada Television, and Stuff (1997). In the words of the Independent, Connolly 'remorselessly points up social pretensions with the eye of a Dostoevsky.'
