Résumé
At seventeen, Katie Byrne wants to be an actress. So do her best friends, Carly and Denise: so, much so, that they spend much of their time rehearsing plays in an old barn in Connecticut. Leaving early one day to help her mother prepare dinner, Katie returns with her brother to retrieve her forgotten schoolbooks. But what greets her is a nightmare scene: Denise has been murdered and Carly lies unconscious. Ten years on and Carly is in a coma. Katie, a struggling actress, is still haunted by the tragedy of her friends. She is driven to achieve success and stardom, not only for herself but for her two friends. Things appear to be on the up when she lands a starring role in a Broadway play, and a promising love affair adds to her excitement. But Katie must face the demons of her past before she can embrace the possibilities of the future.
