Emmanuel Herzet was born in 1973 in Frameries, Belgium. Now living in the Namur region, he teaches history and French in high school. Passionate about the art of centuries past, but with a nonetheless eclectic taste, he began script writing, an activity that truly took shape when Le Lombard introduced him to Piotr Kowalski in 2004. Together, the two of them created "La Branche Lincoln", thus planting the first seed of a promising career.
That little seed has today blossomed into the series "Narcos", "Centaures" and the spin-off of the famous "Alpha", a genre with which he seems to be naturally comfortable. In fact, Herzet likes nothing better than thinking out geopolitical plots about the large families who govern us, raising questions about what's really going on behind the scenes. And history, which he knows so well, is a never-ending resource for the means with which he's able to captivate our imaginations! He goes back to his passion with the swashbuckling series, "Duelliste" and his intriguing take on the great gods of Greek myth, "Les Prométhéens" (The Prometheans). Although he has been a comics fan for a long time, Henscher actually began his writing career in video games.
Working full time for Ubisoft, he collaborated with many of the big names, including Matz ("Le Tueur"), who encouraged him to pursue his dreams of working for the 9th art. Henscher soon realized that it was only through books that he would truly be able to pursue his ideas freely. Fascinated by myths and those who created them through violence and history, he began his career as a comic book writer with "Le Seigneur des Couteaux" at Casterman.
Alongside Fabien Rondet, he opens the doors to the mysterious "secte des assassins", which is as bloody as it is successful. Today he continues his adventure at Le Lombard, with the "Banni" tragedy, a medieval-fantasy series, illustrated beautifully by Stacy Tarumbana. The great advantage of the questions that inspire Henscher, is that they are universal and timeless, guaranteeing many more stories brilliantly combining the mythical and the human in years to come! Rafa, a.k.a Rafael, Sandoval was born in Granada in 1975, but he has lived in Barcelona since he was a child.
He studied fine arts in the Catalan capital, and once he had graduated, began working in advertising. He then turned to animation, sketching characters and creating storyboards, most notably for Disney. His early career in comics dates back to 2007. Since then he has drawn regularly for Marvel Comics. He was also involved in the graphics for superhero adventures like "Iron Man", "Hercules", "Avengers", and "X-men", and collaborated with renowned writers such as Brian Michael Bendis and Jonathan Hickman.
In 2012, he was involved in the development of "Catwoman" for Disney Comics. "Les Prométhéens" (The Prometheans) is his first foray into Franco-Belgian comics, and it already looks like there will be more to come! Jordi Tarragona grew up in the streets of Cerdanyola del Valles, in Barcelona province. His childhood leisure activities were split between "Spiderman" comics and television series such as "Mazinger 7".
This undoubtedly left its mark on him! As a teenager, he created a fanzine with his friends called "Boom Comics", where he wrote, illustrated and inked 5 issues. Later, he was published in the erotic magazine "Kiss Comix", then began working as an inking assistant for Rafa Sandoval and Roger Bonnet ("Young X-men", "Ultimate-Enemy"), who were illustrators and inkers for Marvel. In 2009 he started working as an inker for American publications.
Today he inks publications for DC comics, Marvel and Valiant. Among these are "Avengers Academy", "Zombies Christmas Carol" and "X-Men Legacy", illustrated by David Baldeon, and "Catwoman", and "Red Hood and the Outlaws", illustrated by Rafa Sandoval. "Les Prométhéens" (The Prometheans) is his first Franco-Belgian comic.
