Résumé

The MOSAIC OF FEMINISM - On the Concept of Dignity Feminism: 99 Responses to Alice Schwarzer is a feminist manifesto. This book is an analytical examination of a movement that must constantly reinvent itself - and thus challenges Alice Schwarzer, her readers, and women's and gender equality policies to engage in ongoing analysis, while serving as a supplement for reviewers of feminist debates when they set out to engage in cultural commentary. In one hundred essays, the volume unfolds a panorama of contemporary feminism - from abortion, care work, and sexualized violence, through queer feminism, racism, and class relations, to questions of age, family, work, religion, and the digital public sphere.
The starting point is an examination of Alice Schwarzer as a historical figure of the German women's movement. Her influence is acknowledged - and at the same time critically examined. This tension gives rise to a fundamental question: What form of feminism does the present really need? The book responds with the guiding concept of dignity feminism. This approach understands feminism not as an identitarian project for a single group, but as a political practice of dignity: against violence, against social devaluation, against institutional inequality.
Intersectional, queer-inclusive, materialist, and self-critical, this approach focuses on real-life conditions - on work, law, care, the body, language, and power. The MOSAIC OF FEMINISM - On the Concept of Dignity Feminism is at once theory, debate, and a diagnosis of the present. It combines philosophical analysis with political critique and reframes the big questions of feminist politics: Who is seen? Who remains invisible? And how can freedom be conceived under the complex conditions of the 21st century? A refreshing book for all who do not view feminism as a closed chapter - but rather as an open political and intellectual project for the future and wish to contribute to it.
