Bob Strong is an avid amateur astronomer who enjoys sharing the beauty and wonder of the night sky with others. He serves as operations manager at Tele Vue Optics in Suffern, New York. He conceived, compiled, and self-published the first edition of Sky Atlas 2000, 0 Companion in 1994.
At Sky & Telescope since 1971, Roger Sinnott has played a major role in the magazine's coverage of telescope making, computing, and celestial events. He coauthored the Millenium Star Atlas and Sky Catalogue 2000, 0 and edited NGC 2000, 0. Asteroid 3706 Sinnott is named in Roger's honor.
