Biographie de James-E Humphreys
James E. Humphreys is Professor of Mathematics at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst. He taught previously at the University of Oregon and at New York University. His research interests include linear algebraic groups, Lie algebras, finite simple groups and algebraic K-theory. Dr. Humphreys graduated from Oberlin College in 1961. He did graduate work in philosophy and mathematics at Cornell University and later received his Ph.D. from Yale University in 1966.
