Every night at 12:17, the same stretch of undersea cable goes dark. Yoon Haejin is a network engineer who trusts raw data more than official explanations. When an unregistered beacon transmits eleven seconds before the latest outage, he preserves the signal-and discovers coordinates that should point to empty water. Then an independent reporter arrives with a damaged recording and a chart someone has tried to erase.
Over the next ten days, Haejin and reporter Seo Yura follow a trail through sealed archives, falsified safety models, abandoned route markers, and a private security company that has learned how to make danger disappear from every official map. Each document they recover brings them closer to the truth. It also gives the people watching them another chance to rewrite the record. To expose what lies beneath the East Sea, they must prove not only that the conspiracy exists, but that the evidence has not already been designed to betray them.
