Rather than presenting this development as predetermined, the book examines how experience, research and writing progressively generated new questions and conceptual frameworks. It traces the emergence of Strategic Sovereignty, Adaptive Power, Invisible Geopolitics and Institutional Asymmetry, while preserving their analytical independence and identifying the deeper continuities connecting them.
Central to the work is the distinction between formal authority and effective institutional capability, together with a persistent concern for the relationship between power and responsibility. Combining intellectual autobiography with theoretical reflection, the book explores how institutions accumulate knowledge, memory and capacity across time, and how writing itself becomes an instrument of discovery.
