Ten volumes deep, the Core no longer hides its design. The hidden scenes surrounding The Tales of Early have joined together. Roads, mirrors, taverns, gardens, motels, and forgotten rooms reveal themselves as connected pieces of one living manuscript. Every escape strengthened it. Every memory gave it shape. Every unwritten moment became another passage leading inward. Early has survived by moving before each place could claim him.
Now the road refuses to carry him away. It turns toward the radiant center of the pattern, where the ledger waits with his name written across pages he has never seen. Christopher remains trapped inside the universe he created, but the distinction between writer and creation is fading. His memories have become locations. His fears have become doors.
