Another writer has appeared in the margins. Unfamiliar sentences begin redirecting Early's path. Roads change while he walks them. Doors receive new names. Warnings appear in handwriting Christopher does not recognize. The unknown author remembers every abandoned ending and understands the Core's hidden architecture. It claims Christopher did not create the manuscript. He merely found it, opened it, and mistook recognition for imagination.
Christopher fights back through revisions, but every altered sentence returns changed. The manuscript is answering both writers and obeying neither. Early is trapped between competing versions of the world. Each author promises freedom. Each needs him to complete a different ending. Choosing either voice may erase the other-and everything that voice created. EARLY CORE 16 blends surreal horror, dark fantasy, supernatural mystery, psychological terror, and metafiction.
A second hand is writing. The Core recognizes its touch. And it has begun correcting Christopher's name.
