Waiting on a Friend

Two friends, Amy and Molly had known each other for quite some time, spending a lot of time together and sharing each other's secrets like friends do, except one. Both held a secret they were afraid to share fearing if they told the other their friendship would crash. Molly was in love with Amy in more than just a friendly way. Unknown to Molly, Amy too had those same feelings. During a walk in the woods together, playing in the snow and laughing and giggling they both fell into the snow.
In each other's arms. As Molly lay atop Amy, there was no mistaking the look they shared. When the awkward moment passed it felt like an anvil had been lifted from their chests. As co-workers, the new-found lovers had to keep the relationship a secret, unable to openly express their love for each other. Deciding things couldn't go on like that, Molly invited Amy to her apartment for a romantic weekend where they could consummate their love.
Waiting for the prearranged day, each girl was on pins and needles, their minds filled with all kinds of catastrophic things that could happen preventing them from their rendezvous. The two remained in a high state of anxiety until Molly heard Amy's knock on her apartment door.
