Change of Heart

Darcy was a good friend of Stella's from their college days, and more importantly, the girl Stella had a heavy attraction to ever since they had met.  Circumstances were such that Darcy needed to stay with Stella. She had no idea Stella was a lesbian, much less attracted to her, and Stella feared telling Darcy the truth, even though there had been many instances over the years where Stella suspected Darcy was attracted to women.
What confused Stella was Darcy's crusade to attract the attention of Brett a member of her team, who treated Darcy like a friend and even told her once he considered her a 'sister'.  Darcy even called Stella to ask what she was doing wrong.  Grudgingly, Stella told her she wasn't doing anything wrong, Brett was just blind to what was right in front of him. The fact that Stella was married made all this even more complicated, Darcy staying with her, Stella felt the moment had come, and the conditions were perfect- alone on the estate for a whole week, both of them lying side by side, by the pool, both feeling relaxed enough to talk about a subject they had avoided for different reasons.  And to top it off Darcy had finally begun to realize that Brett had no romantic interest in her.
 Stella decided to go for broke, pulled Darcy over and kissed her passionately on the lips.
