Wo zwei oder drei Theologinnen oder Theologen zusammenkommen, ist Streit vorprogrammiert. Diese Aussage ist durch einen Rückblick auf die Geschichte des Christentums provoziert: Wie viele Auseinandersetzungen gab es hier schon, inklusive solcher, die zu Verurteilungen und Schismen geführt haben! In der Gegenwart ist allerdings eher von Pluralität, Dialog und Diskurs die Rede; echte theologische Streitgespräche sind selten geworden, obwohl natürlich die Streitthemen nicht abnehmen.
Dieser Band beleuchtet das Thema aus exegetischer, historischer, systematisch-theologischer und praktischer Perspektive. Darüber hinaus enthält er weitere Beiträge aus aktuellen Forschungsprojekten von Mitgliedern der Evangelisch-Theologischen Fakultät der Universität Wien. Where two or three theologians come together, dispute is inevitable. This statement is provoked by a look back at the history of Christianity: How many disputes have there been, including those that have led to condemnations and schisms! In the present, however, we rather speak of plurality, dialogue, and discourse; genuine theological disputes have become rare, although, of course, the topics of dispute do not abate.
This volume examines the topic from exegetical, historical, systematic-theological, and practical perspectives. In addition, it includes further contributions from current research projects by members of the Faculty of Protestant Theology at the University of Vienna.
