Résumé
This book describes Introvert Personality, Diagnosis and Treatment and Related Diseases"A wise man once said nothing." ~ Proverb"Wise men speak because they have something to say; Fools because they have to say something." ~ Plato"Solitude has its own very strange beauty to it." ~ Liv Tyler"I don't want to be alone. I want to be left alone." ~ Audrey Hepburn"I don't hate people, I just feel better when they aren't around." ~Charles Bukowski"I was never less alone than when by myself." ~ Edward Gibbon"I want to be alone.
with someone else who wants to be alone." - Dimitri Zaik. I am rarely bored alone; I am often bored in groups and crowds." ~ Laurie Helgoe"I have to be alone very often. I'd be quite happy if I spent from Saturday night until Monday morning alone in my apartment. That's how I refuel." ~ Audrey HepburnIntrovert Personality is a basic personality style featured by a preference for the inner life of the mind over the outer world of other people.
One of the Big Five dimensions that describe all personalities, introvert personality is on a continuum at the opposite end of which is extroversion. Compared to extroverts, introverts prefer subdued and solitary incidents. Introverts do not have a fear or dislike of others. They do not have shyness or are plagued by loneliness. A crowded cocktail party may be a suffering for introverts, but they take pleasure in one-on-one engagement in calm environments, which is more suitable for their nervous system.
Evidence indicates that, unlike with extroverts, the brains of introverts do not react strongly to seeing new human faces. In such situations they produce less dopamine, a neurotransmitter linked with reward. Doctors have discovered that introverts have a higher blood flow to their frontal lobe than extroverts do. This part of the brain assists the person recall things, solve problems, and plan ahead.
Introvert brains also response differently to dopamine than extrovert brains do. That is a chemical that turns on the reward and pleasure-seeking component of the brain. Introverts and extroverts have the same quantity of the chemical but extrovert brains obtain an excited sensation from their reward center. Extroverts have satisfaction or energy from social interactions due to this chemical. Introverts, on the other hand, are likely to feel run-down by it.
Genetics and environmental factors, such as life experiences, may also have a part in the development of the personality.1. The genes may have a significant part in determining where the person will be on the personality continuum.2. The life experiences can considerably affect the introvert personality. It is possible to alter or move slightly on the personality spectrum throughout the life. The introvert may learn to interact with other people differently and change as an adult.
There is no necessity to change or alter the personality. The introvert personality is a wonderful component of who the person is. An introvert is often believed to be a quiet, reserved, and thoughtful person. Generally, introverts have these signs:1. They need quiet to concentrate2. They are reflective3. They are self-aware4. They take time making decisions5. They feel comfortable being alone6. They do not like group work7.
They prefer to write rather than talk8. They feel tired after being in a crowd9. They have few friendships, but are very close with these friends10. They daydream or use their imaginations to work out a problem11. They retreat into their own minds to restIntroverts achieve energy from reflection and drop energy in social events. TABLE OF CON...
