Anlässlich des 50-jährigen Jubiläums des Sozialwissenschaftlichen Instituts der EKD rekonstruieren Aysel Yollu-Tok, Insa Pruisken, Hans Joas, Michael Hüther, Torsten Meireis, Gerhard Wegner, Peter Schallenberg, Horst Gorski u.a. den Zusammenhang zwischen den Imaginationen der Fülle des Lebens in der christlichen Religion und sozialpolitischer Kultur - insbesondere dem deutschen Sozialstaat. Auf der einen Seite wird die absolute Nichttrennbarkeit sozialen Handelns vom Kern des christlichen Glaubens deutlich.
Auf der anderen Seite zeigen sich gerade in seinem Wandel Konturen des Sozialstaates, die stets mit grundlegenden Überzeugungen und Bildern vom Menschen verbunden sind. Mit Beiträgen von Hans-Jürgen Benedict, Horst Gorski, Michael Hüther, Hans Joas, Ulrich Lilie, Torsten Meireis, Insa Pruisken, Peter Schallenberg und Aysel Yollu-Tok. [Fictions of Fullness.
