A Long Shot

Since Ginger and Olivia have been together, there has always been a black cloud over their relationship. One of the two has an addiction that has more than once threatened to destroy their bond of love and send the two apart forever. The addition has been under control, and it has nearly been forgotten, nearly that is except for one of the partners that still is plagued by a nightmare of the addictive behavior coming between them in a most harrowing manner.
The dream has been kept from the other partner for fear of ruining the romantic climate the two are experiencing at the moment. Addiction it seems, is never cured; it is controlled after long excruciating bouts of withdrawal. But like the harbinger of death, it is always hanging over the head of the afflicted one and the one most likely to be crushed by the effects of the affliction. When that harbinger finally regains possession of the weak partner it threatens to do irreparable damage to them both.
