Trying to Shatter Dreams

Gavin Larkin was returning home from a yearlong deployment. He knew Sierra was waiting for him. He knew that he wanted to finally move forward with the relationship they had formed when he was gone. That was the plan except until his mother had called his command and found out when he was returning home as well. Though he never expected the hell he was entering. When his mother and the rest of his extended family showed up at the homecoming, he knew that things were not good, but he could never expect how bad they turned.
It wasn't until he had to go firsthand some of the things that his mother tried to do to him and how she was trying to sabotage his relationship with Sierra that he understood why his older brothers had turned away from the family and never looked back. Sierra rolled with the punches and the new events that happened very quickly. The fact that the two got married quickly and then had to move out of the apartment they share for safety because Gavin's mother had completely lost her mind all began to take a toll on her.
Realizing that the couple needed to continue talking to each other they both had to deal with all the issues that his mother posed to them and the other. When they make contact with Gavin's brother the group begin to build a relationship of understanding. That was when Gavin foudn out the truth of his parents and all the things they had done in the past. As time went on the couple struggle with the isolation of their new arrangement but Sierra is thriving with her new business.
That was when the trail begins against the criminal charges for Gavin's mother. Things go the way everyone planned and the two finally have thier family and sucess to help them along the way.
