She was the modern day Cinderella in the fact her stepmother had made her do everything in the house and then took credit for it. Shaina was abused mentally and verbally everyday from her stepmother and her stepsiblings.on the eve of her eighteenth birthday she started her escape and that led to her meeting Mackinley.
