Eden

Kate grew up in a severely religious house. So when she asked questions that no one could answer they all turned on hr. She was not one that would back down easily, but she knew she was not safe there. She made her exit plan and then, when she had the chance she took it. Alone in a far off place, she knew that she needed to stay away from people. They were nothing but a liability to her. They all were not the evil her parents had tried to force on to her, but she did not know how to interact with anyone.
That was her problem with other people. It was safer to stay away and not form any relationships with other people. That was until her neighbor took an interest in her. He was too perfect for her not to listen to what he had to say. When he did talk to her, he was eye opening, and he knew what to say to make her feel comfortable. Even about talking about her past. The look in his eyes was like a golden flame that was calming.
So when he needed help she let the words out that he could stay with her. That was they found out that starting off together was something like finding their own Eden that was the better version.
