Résumé

Once he pretended to be a king. Now he must think like one or die trying. Lambert Simnel cheated the executioner once. As King Henry VII's royal falconer, he has spent years being deliberately forgettable: a former pretender to the throne living on royal sufferance, grateful for every unremarkable day. But when a mysterious inheritance from a murdered nobleman lands in his lap, it catches the eye of Sir Thomas Lovell, the king's most feared spymaster and enforcer.
Within days, Lambert's carefully constructed invisibility is stripped away, and he is thrown headlong into the most dangerous conspiracy the Tudor court has ever seen. A poisoned gift. A frightened queen. A kingdom on the edge. The trap is elegant and devastating: a stunning white falcon, offered as tribute to the beloved Queen Elizabeth of York, concealing a secret that could unravel the Tudor dynasty from within.
With enemies operating inside the very walls of Richmond Palace, Lambert has no one he can trust until he discovers a surprising ally in Princess Margaret Tudor, a young woman whose wit and nerve are as formidable as any swordsman's blade. Together, they must navigate a world where loyalty is purchased, secrets are currency, and the wrong word in the wrong ear means a quiet death before dawn. Perfect for fans of C.
J. Sansom, Hilary Mantel, and S. J. Parris. THE QUEEN'S FALCONER plunges readers into the glittering, treacherous world of the early Tudor court: a place of Twelfth Night feasts and whispered treason, of candlelit banquets and midnight betrayals. With richly drawn historical detail, breakneck pacing, and a hero unlike any other in Tudor fiction, this gripping historical mystery thriller will keep you turning pages long past midnight.

The Tudor court's most unlikely hero is waiting.
Charity Bishop is funny, quirky, analytical, a little sentimental, and occasionally forgetful, with an offbeat sense of humor, a tendency to like sci-fi, and a storehouse of knowledge about "useless trivia." She gets fixated on learning things, and obsesses over them until she knows everything there is to know about them, then looks for something new to learn. She gets bored with "same-ness, " but is good at impartiality and seeing both sides in an argument.
In fact, she's likely to argue both sides for the sheer fun of it. She grew up in the church and was saved at a young age, but re-evaluated and re-dedicated her life to Christ three years ago. Since then, God has encouraged her to trust Him with her life and future - which sometimes is an uphill battle for a stubborn girl. As she struggles with understanding His ways along with her characters, He gently reveals the answers.
He's her co-author, both in the stories she tells and in her very own story. Her day job is a magazine editor, and her hobbies (other than writing books) include over-analyzing everything she comes into contact with, vigorously defending various incarnations of Sherlock Holmes against perceived injustices, irritating her friends with theological musings, and MBTI typing fictional characters.
